hey, i was listening to "industrial" by pitchshifter, you heard that one? also, a band called Skindred....these guys cross metal/ragga/etc. very uplifting! but recently, it has to be an album by a group called the Nextmen called "amongst the madness". amazing hip hop and an overall great listen. check it out
Nice comment icemonster .....www.myspace.com/wizardsoftwiddly...
ermmm.....check above link. it comes with my recommendation! btw, it's not my band.
Mint Royale - On The Ropes.
Guns and Roses.. Appetite for Destruction... and the complete (ish) collection of Coldcut.. (not at the same time... although theres a thought... (opens cool edit.. its going to be a looong night...)
Oxygene - Jean Michel Jarre (don't anyone dare say "who?")
Anyone who says Who deserves a good **********!!! mostly stuck on Maya & Idlewild (take me outside and give me a kicking) & the live music that happens round our end
Rentamob - Tofu Love Frogs (your all welcome to say 'who?' :-))
ministry... "where you come from is gone, where you thought you were going to was never there, and where you are ain't no good unless you can get away from it...."
..OR get away WITH it...
I'll have another listen but why would you want to get away WITH where you're from?
Bent - Programmed To Love... and Intercept... these fellas are underrated. and FSOL/Amorphous... f*cking genius. Toby... do a remix of Cascade... would ya.. please... in a Waco stylee.
Cascade is brill. We played that at my friends funeral service many years ago. Probabaly the strangest choones played in that church ever..
return to forever "where have i known you before".......funkiest music ever. chick corea is god!
the police- "ghost in the machine". refused to go and see em when they did their reunion tour, cos i object to lining stings pockets. regret it now, of course, as i forget how amazing they are/were. close to tears as i'll never get the chance again.......especially pissed off cos most people who went probably never listened to the 5 albums that they did, and probably own the greatest hits album, and probably work as chartered accountants and what not. tickets ranged from ?40-85. i mean cmon, if it wasn't for sting being a star in his own right it probably would have been ?25. plus the high pitched, tantric shagging, earth saving, concorde flying frontman "kindly" donated 10% of ticket funds to water aid charity. i mean i've gotta take me hat off to him.....smashing fella!
Puscifer, James Maynard Keenan's new project. Sonic candy it is.
Randomized Boards of Canda, Four Tet, Sounds from the Ground. Nice.........big cheese smile.
Dug out a compilation cd from 93 California Dreaming or cyberhippy as we like to call it Tranquility Bass - Cantamilla what a tune

I've been mostly listening to 3 albums from the excellent n5MD label recently. They would be, "Of Soft Construction" by NEAR THE PARENTHESIS. A melodic chilled excursion into electronic glitch. Another is "No Spectre" by ARC LAB and the last is "Patience" by ANOTHER ELECTRONIC MUSICIAN. All quite similar in taste, all definately n5MD. Thos of course and the (new) album from YOUNGER BROTHER.
Random Orb, System 7 'Seventh Wave', lots of Montreal based post-rock (GSYBE, Fly Pan Am, Silver Mt. Zion), Explosions in the Sky, Mogwai, Higher Intelligence Agency, Biosphere. Good times.
Biosphere, Radiohead, Steve Roach, various Namlook projects, Loop Guru.

Ulrich Schnauss - Goodbye Ott - Skylon Shpongle - Remixed Amon Tobin - Foley Room Autechre - Quaristice Younger Brother - Last Days of Gravity Calexico - Hot Rail Matmos - The Rose Has Teeth in The Mouth of a Beast Laibach - Volk
The last couple of months I been enjoying Ulrich Schnauss 3 albums, they been around for a while but nice. Far Away Trains Passing By, very chilled morning after tunes, Goodbye, his latest has a few really good tracks, couple not sure about, but the middle album A Strangely Isolated Place is his best. Very ethereal and spacey, and probably best known for On My Own which Sasha remixed on Involver. If you like Toby's stuff, you might well enjoy Ulrich too. May require repeated listenings to get into, but I find that with Toby's albums too, they grow on you. Its the best way. Anyway, I'm still high from the 25th birthday party at Whirly-Gig, when I met Sandy and Toby, and met some fantastic people!! (Yeah I know it was a long time ago - I should get out more). Last Train must be close to Toby's heart again with the going's on in China, and the Dhalai Lama in the news. Peace. Jim
Skylon - OTT The Gutter Twins Best of Pentangle Stacked Up - Senser But hampered by my Amp being a bit iffy at the moment - one channel is hit and miss Looking forward to seeing Telsa in Leeds in a couple of weeks - old skool rock
Pendulum - In Silico
