I am just wondering what is the triangle in the circle symbol all about ? I was told this was a mystical symbol for transformation but I was wondering if someone could enlighten me please.

I dunno but i guess Euclid the father of geometry would probably know.
Does the area within the triangle equal the area outside the triangle ???

The most succinct definition I've seen for it is:

"The triangle represents the union of body, mind and spirit. The circle stands for the Divine. In ceremonial magick the spirit summoned by the magician is contained within this symbol so that it cannot escape. Thus this symbol is one of protection and power"

The symbol was also used for many years by Alcoholics Anonymous..! However they've kind of stopped using it after failing to secure it as a trademark or copyright.

Cheers

Nick
