Hi Toby,

I,ve been the Far East for the last 6 years (Japan not Norwich!) but used to go and see Banco loads around the London area. Since then you've 'gone solo' so to speak and replaced poor Ted with a projection show. I know it's been a few years but why? I'm biased here as I myself am a drummer and I personally thought the live Banco with Ted was fantastic.
Asian Dub are also sans (kit) drummer and I in my opinion are worse off for it. Before I'm subjected to the 'Toby knows best" tirade this is just my own opinion.
Are there any live recordings of Banco with drummer or even band? the very short stuff at that Mexican festival on You Tube is great - Where's the rest of it?
Apologies if this has been addressed before.

Yes, it was great with Ted, and with the 3-piece and 5-piece live bands, but it was time for a change and there just wasn't the financial support to work with video as well as live musicians. As for live recordings... funny you should mention that, watch this space...

Hi africadrum2000

I must admit that the 7 years I spent with Toby where and still are the best years of my career, The live band was just an amazing gig to do and the recordings that I did with Toby where so much fun and I miss it like mad.

I saw Toby's new set last week at Off The Tracks and it was a great show with great video and some classic tracks that just blew me away, I just wish I was up there with him llaying down some great grooves.

As for the live video footage on you tube then that is down to me and I have hours of it ... I will go through the old stuff and post some more in the future.

Toby and Ted

Thanks for the replies. As expected of Banco you both have come up with the goods and I'm looking forward to both seeing and hearing live stuff that will bring back brilliant memories.
Thought it was strange that there was early 'solo' live Banco (the excellent Glastonbury) and recent solo Banco: the DVD, but nothing in the middle.
Rest assure Toby when I'm a billionaire I will foot the bill for both an expanded Banco AND a video show (unfortunately this may have to happen on another planet!)
