i've just got back from 'sunny' wales after seeing banco de gaia do his pink floyd thang! i'm big fan of both banco de gaia and pink floyd. so to hear them together was a great experience, (made me fell all warm on the inside.) i just sat back and watched for the pink floyd bit and dance my ass off for the rest of the show. a good mix me thinks. i was well impressed with the guitar playing, i mean some of the sounds that came off that thing. nice. the videos were good too. this was my first banco show, and i had a wicked time! it was a great way to end the weekend. thankyou i thought he was joking about the free bar thing (so we'd all bugger off and stop shouting at him) but there really was free beer!!!
yeah i was there too - amazing show. I too thought that the 'free bar' jibe was a dirty trick to get people to bugger off - seems he wasnt lieing. Wish that he played for longer though. That cider at the bar......error.... please play again! Bournemouth wants you!
hey if you like floyd........ check out: Les Claypool's Fearless Flying Frog Brigade "Live Frogs vol.2" it is the mainman of primus and a few others performing the entire "Animals" album by pink floyd. floyd fans need to hear this re-do of what i personally consider to be floyd's finest moment!
By far the best festival I've been to for many years. The location was just gorgeous and the vibe was spot on! Felt very sad when we had to leave...
